My shoulder problem resolved itself while I slept, happily.
I went for my follow-up with the cardiologist on Friday. He told me that my heart appears to be fine. It seems that my main problem is that I'm horribly out of shape and if I did a little cardio every day my heart wouldn't freak out every time I went up a flight of stairs.
In other news, my Aunt Mary (okay, so she's the wife of my mom's first cousin) is very sick. If any of you are the praying sort, please take a moment to include her in your thoughts.

Strange Shoulder Problem
I woke up at 5:30 this evening (yes, I know) with a weird pain in my left shoulder. Over a year ago I injured that shoulder in Spain but this is quite different. I can't figure it out. The really odd thing is that even though the pain is in my left shoulder blade, it isn't caused by my left arm moving - it happens when I use my right arm. Also when I turn my head, particularly to the left. It feels sort of like a cramp.
I've tried using a Flector patch and I took so Aleve but they haven't helped at all. If it's still bothering me tomorrow maybe I'll go to urgent care at the hospital.

A Brief Update
Just thought I'd pop in to mention that this past Friday, I went back to the cardiologist to get an echo-cardiogram. I'll get the results of that and the previous week's Holter monitor in three weeks when I have my follow-up appointment on October 22.
In other life events, this weekend I'll be visiting my lovely cousin Sarah and my good friend Kristjen at Randolph-Macon College and the University of Mary Washington, respectively. Here's to a weekend in Virginia!
